Implementation of the Week

  • Zoho Desk / Slack Integration for Automated Notifications
    • In this implementation, our goal was to notify a user in Slack when a comment is left on a Desk ticket that mentions that user.
    • To accomplish this, we set up a ZFlow to run on any ticket comment.
    • This Flow reads the comment to identify if there is a user-mention included.
    • If there is a mention (or more than one mention), we are logging the user-mention into a custom table in Analytics.
    • Every 30 minutes, we run a scheduled function to check our Analytics table for unsent mentions and push them out to the relevant users via Slack.
