Zuum Transportation, Inc. – Case Study

Executive Summary

ZUUM Transportation, Inc. is an automated freight management platform provider. ZUUM combines a digital freight marketplace with a shipper TMS, broker software, carrier TMS, and driver app. The company was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Irvine, California.


Prior to coming to Zenatta, Zuum’s primary CRM was very disorganized and the features were underutilized. Their sales staff was only using about 10% of its overall capabilities, limiting the potential to acquire and grow customers. They also had little visibility on sale activities and production reporting. Realizing this could all be fixed they sought-out professional help to improve their current setup.

The Challenge

After our discovery meeting with Zuum, it was clear they needed two things: pipeline management & a complete rework of their existing CRM. The challenge was going to be the execution of the new implementation while not hindering their business operations while these changes were being made.

First, we started by fixing the current processes being used. For pipeline management, we implemented a more structured way to qualify leads and close deals. We then built an integration to their ops platform to help out their sales teams’ visibility for customer purchase history and transactions. Another important element that was not yet implemented properly was the usage of forms on their website and the data they were capturing.

Once these implementations were made we could then set up proper tasking for leads and deals. With a streamlined sales process now in place, the final part of the implementation was dialing in reporting and some minor tweaking to ensure the maximum output from the new system.

The Zenatta staff helped set up modules, permissions, workflow rules, and automation all designed toward guiding our sales person’s to be efficient and organized. This has helped give us a 1000% ROI by reducing lost leads, increasing our win rate, and giving a platform for account development.

The Results

Now that Zuum’s CRM had been optimized, their ops software integrated, new streamlined business processes created, and viable daily analytics at their ready, Zuum saw amazing results.
