Implementation of the Week

  • CRM Inquiry Tracking for UTM ROI Reporting
    • It is common to point web forms directly to the CRM Leads module
    • For most people, this is fine, but if Leads often fill out multiple forms/touchpoints, then you may need an “Inquiries” module to track each submission
    • Submissions to this Inquiries module can create Leads or link to an existing Lead/Contact
    • In this implementation, we capture Google PPC UTM parameters in the Inquiries module (Campaign, Medium, Ad Group, etc.)
    • Then, we pulled this data, along with Google Ads data, into Zoho Analytics
    • Using this data, we can compare Inquiries (and their related Lead/Deals) to our Google Ads spending data to get granular about the ROI of the specific ad groups

Code Share of the Week

  • Ensuring Data Entry Standardization via Client Scripting
    • This client script uses a record from a lookup and populates other custom fields on the record with information from the lookup field. This script also set these fields as read-only so that users cannot modify those fields’ values.
