Executive Summary

EV+ is an EV charging company that delivers a fully outsourced solution for commercial real estate. They design, install, own, and operate EV charging systems, assuming almost all costs, liability, and day-to-day management. In return, they share net revenue with property owners, creating incremental NOI across properties nationwide.

Headquartered in New York City with 10+ employees and installations across the continental United States, EV+ needed a scalable CRM and analytics platform to replace Airtable and support rapid growth. Zenatta implemented Zoho CRM, Zoho Forms, and Zoho Analytics as a unified system for lead intake, partner program management, service operations, and EV charging performance reporting—laying the foundation for EV+ to reach its ambitious 2024 sales goals. This EV+ Zoho case study highlights how that transformation unfolded.

The Challenge

Before working with Zenatta, EV+ ran its entire deal flow out of Airtable with no formal CRM. Sales and operations teams manually entered notes, emails, and deal updates. Pipeline movement was slow and inconsistent. Email automation was minimal. Forms and layouts were hard to work with, and reporting across partners and properties required heavy manual effort. As the business scaled and new partner programs launched, this setup could not keep pace with demand.

Why It Mattered

EV+ operates in a fast-growing EV market where response time, partner confidence, and accurate performance data are critical. Without automation, centralized reporting, and integrated systems, the team risked losing deals, delaying installations, and under-serving partners. A robust CRM and analytics stack would not only save time but also provide clear visibility into deals, properties, and charging performance—supporting EV+ as it scaled its national footprint.

The Zenatta Solution

Zenatta partnered with EV+ to replace Airtable with a tailored Zoho environment. The solution combined CRM restructuring, automated forms and workflows, and deep analytics integrations, including data from their charging platform, AMPECO.

  • CRM Foundation & Airtable Migration: Zenatta implemented Zoho CRM as the core system of record, migrating deal data from Airtable and configuring pipelines aligned to EV+’s sales process. They refined layouts, permissions, and related lists for Deals, Accounts, Contacts, and custom modules such as Assets, Work Orders, Properties, and Service Events, giving the team a clear view of every opportunity and installation.
  • Lead Intake, Partner Program, and Service Workflows: Custom Zoho Forms now capture partner-submitted leads and service data directly into CRM. Zenatta configured task and email automations, layout rules, and notifications that trigger when statuses change—for example, sending Service Completion and Service Provider forms from the Service Events module and notifying record owners when forms come back. Zoho Desk was integrated so tickets and alerts flow to the right people, improving post-install support.
  • Advanced Analytics & AMPECO Integration: In Zoho Analytics, Zenatta built dashboards for partner performance, conversion rates, and ROI. They created scheduled API integrations and Zoho Flow automations to bring in AMPECO data—Sessions, Charge Points, Locations, charging periods, price breakdowns, resource receipts, resource transactions, and partner data (Partners, Partner Contracts, Partner Invites). These datasets now power dashboards that show utilization, revenue, and partner impact in near real time.
  • Resilient Automation & Reporting Tools: To support ongoing growth, Zenatta hardened existing automations and reporting. They added robust error-catching and logging around the custom Lead Conversion button, updated code to match new layouts, and moved several CRM schedules into Zoho Flow for easier maintenance. The team also gained CRM reports, dashboards, mail merge templates, and ZohoSign workflows to streamline proposals and agreements.
