New App! Introducing Zoho AgentInbox
Hope this email finds your agent well, because AgentInbox (in beta) gives your AI agents their own email inbox, with webhooks, a built-in toolset, and SPF/DKIM handled so it still sends from your domain. At minimum it’s a much safer sandbox than giving an agent free rein over your primary inbox.
Zoho One: Zoho TouchPoint Added to the Suite
Attribution has always been a weaker part of Zoho’s marketing stack, so it’s nice to see TouchPoint join Zoho One, tracking first touches like NFC cards, QR codes, digital cards, and email signatures, then routing people to a lead form, survey, or booking page.
Zoho CRM: Zoho Key Service for LLM Access
Curious about Claude or OpenAI inside CRM but don’t want to wrangle an API key? Key Service runs LLM access through Zoho’s own account with free ZKS credits, a great test drive before you bring your own key.
Zoho CRM: September Community Digest Part 1
Workflow rules on subform row actions (finally) headline the first half of September’s digest, along with a new skill.md and two Kaizen posts on teaching your AI agent how the CRM API works.
Zoho CRM: September Community Digest Part 2
Missed a few episodes? Part 2 rounds up CRM note reactions, PageSense user journeys, Recruit approval SLAs, multi-option estimates in FSM, and Tables and Publish joining Zoho One.
Zoho Desk: Product-Customer Association Sync with Zoho CRM
Desk can now sync CRM products along with their contact and account associations, handy for spotting which products generate the most tickets, though it requires the two-way sync, which we almost never recommend since it fills your CRM with junk contacts.
Zoho Creator: Enhanced Audit Trail
It isn’t flashy AI, but it matters: Creator’s audit trail now has an advanced mode that captures Deluge, API, and workflow updates, plus before/after values, record restores, and three-year retention on paid plans. Turn advanced mode on now, before you need it.
Zoho Sprints: Global Board View for Work Items
One list beats five, and the new global board view pulls work items from every project and workspace into a single filterable board.
Introducing Zoho Office Desktop (Windows & macOS)
Writer, Sheet, Show, and PDF Editor now come in one desktop installer for Windows and macOS that works offline with no sign-in required, plus central deployment for IT teams.
Zoho CRM: Actions for Duplicate Image Detection
Duplicate image detection goes from alert to action, letting you merge up to two flagged records into a master record or mark a false positive as unique so it stops resurfacing (US and JP data centers for now).
Zoho FSM: Shift Management for Field Service Teams
Shift-based teams can define shifts with time zones and per-day hours, assign technicians with automatic overlap flagging, and filter out off-shift resources when scheduling, with shift windows shown right in the Dispatch Console.
Zoho FSM: Introducing FSM Academy
FSM Academy is a new hub of guides and industry insights for field service leaders, filterable by trades like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and pest control.
Zoho Contracts: API Collection on Postman
Developers can explore, test, and debug the Contracts API in Postman with ready-made requests, sample bodies, and OAuth configured once for the whole collection.
Zoho Account Recovery via Trusted Zoho Apps
Forgot your password? You can now reset it with a push notification to a trusted Zoho mobile app like CRM, Mail, or Campaigns, as long as you set it up beforehand.
Zoho PDF Editor: Password Protection
Sensitive PDFs now get two layers of protection: an opening password, and a permissions password that blocks copying, editing, printing, or extracting pages.
Zoho Recruit: Nursys License Verification Integration
US healthcare recruiters can verify nursing licenses against the official Nursys database right from a candidate record, with results logged automatically (beta, available on request).
Zoho Expense: Android Trips and Advances UX Improvements
On Android, Trips and Advances get compact and card views, clearer action history, bulk archiving, and per-leg trip preferences like seat, meal, and flight class.
Code Share of the Week
Bulk Create Zoho CRM Fields and Sections from a Spreadsheet
This one comes from Eric, and it solves a problem that shows up in nearly every CRM rollout: the client hands back a spreadsheet of fields they want added. Feed that list (even a screenshot works) into your AI tool of choice using Eric’s prompt, and it returns a JSON payload. A standalone Deluge function then uses the CRM metadata APIs to create the sections, create the fields, and drop each field into the right section. It skips any field whose label already exists, so rerunning it won’t create duplicates, and it logs everything as it goes. You’ll need a connection with the settings.fields.ALL and settings.layouts.ALL scopes, and it runs once per layout, so five modules means five runs.

Zia Chat gives you a built-in LLM across Zoho for free, and this video covers the pros, the cons, and where cross-app questions like churn analysis really make it shine.
Question of the Week
Can a workflow or Deluge function distinguish API updates from user edits?
Buddy wanted to stop a sync loop between CRM and a custom app, and the answer is yes, with an asterisk. You can pass the parameter that skips workflow triggers on the API call (all or nothing), or check the timeline API’s source (UI vs. API) in Deluge before acting. Long term, a dedicated integration user (Jarvis, anyone?) makes everything clearer.
