Zoho Community Spaces: Building and Managing Online Communities
Zoho’s answer to the external community gap in Connect, Community Spaces lets you spin up a customer-facing community that works for anyone regardless of whether they have a Zoho account, with paid membership tiers and broadcast features built in. Tyler and Greg use Circle for Club Zenatta precisely because Connect was never quite right for external users, and this feels like Zoho finally solving that cleanly.
Zoho CRM: Record Sharing for Activities Modules
You can now share individual tasks, meetings, and calls directly rather than going through the parent record first, and completed activities will automatically share along with their parent record so a teammate getting up to speed sees the full history, not just the open items. Currently available for Japan and Australia data centers only, with other regions expected to follow soon.
Zoho Forms: Spotlight Forms
A new form type that sits between the standard all-fields-at-once view and the card-per-field view, keeping everything visible while highlighting the field you’re on and dimming the rest, advancing automatically without any click-next buttons. There’s real data behind this one: every incremental field on a form decreases submission rates, and a format that makes a long form feel shorter is worth testing on your contact pages.
Zoho Bigin: Workflow Rule Enhancements
Several workflow rule improvements land in Bigin including product record creation, a mass email option that sends individual copies to multiple recipients rather than one email with everyone on the To line, merge field support in field update actions, reordering and search on the rules page, and a live count of automated emails sent. One small note: the “send as a single mass email” checkbox label is counterintuitive and actually means the opposite of what it sounds like, so read the description above it before clicking.
Zoho Social: Audio Publishing and Inbox Assignment Rules
Zoho Social now supports adding audio to posts, and the inbox got assignment rules so you can auto-route incoming messages from any connected social channel to the right team member based on platform, keywords, sentiment, or follower count, essentially a lightweight ticketing triage layer for high-volume social brands.
Zoho Contracts: Offline Signature Support
Zoho Contracts now handles the wet-signature crowd: download the contract, get it signed the old-fashioned way, upload the signed copy back, and a digital signature certificate still gets attached. It’s a small edge case, but when that one-in-two-hundred client wants to print, sign, and scan, it’s nice to have the workflow accommodate them without breaking your automation.
Zoho SalesIQ: Summer 2026 Release
A massive release for SalesIQ packed with AI agent capabilities that can pull from multiple data sources and answer questions using LLM reasoning, URL-based bot training so your bot stays current as long as your website does, and third-party LLM connector support including Claude and GPT. The standout UX feature is live sentiment tracking: if a customer is going in circles or getting frustrated, the bot recognizes it and hands the conversation to a human before that friction turns into a lost lead. A full video walkthrough is coming Monday, so if you’re a SalesIQ user this one is worth watching in detail.

Zoho Creator: Databridge for Private Data Connections
Databridge is a new utility that installs on your private network machine and creates an outbound-only connection to Zoho Creator, letting you query private databases from Creator apps without ever exposing your internal infrastructure to the internet.
Zoho Trident: Meeting Integration and Room Booking for Windows

Zoho Trident: EML Import and Cliq Meeting Support for Mac

Zoho Launches Nathu La: A Designed-in-House Server
Zoho unveiled Nathu La, an in-house designed server built with Intel that delivers the same performance at 12-18% lower power consumption and 20-30% lower total cost of ownership, part of the company’s long-term push to own its full technology stack from hardware to software.

Downloading and Uploading Files Between Zoho WorkDrive and Books via API
This one came out of a community question from a Club Zenatta member who needed to pull a file from Zoho WorkDrive and attach it to a transaction in Zoho Books. The snippet is cleanly broken into two halves so you can grab just the WorkDrive download portion or just the Books upload portion depending on your use case. The key things to know: WorkDrive requires a special Accept: application/api+json header that no other Zoho app uses, and if you skip it you won’t get an error back, you’ll just get silence, which makes it a fun one to debug. You also need to set a param name of attachment and include the file extension when naming the file so Books can correctly identify what it’s receiving. Everything is modular enough that you can drop in your own logic for locating the right file before the download step kicks off.

Question of the Week
Set up a warning when fields are tied to workflows, functions, or other automations (@asapfinch)
Finch asked if there’s a way to get a warning before editing a field that’s tied to workflows, functions, or other automations, since it’s easy to accidentally break things while cleaning up modules. Greg’s recommended approach is to use the Zoho CRM MCP with metadata scopes enabled, then prompt Claude or GPT to scan all your functions and workflows for references to a given field name before you touch it. Better yet, have it generate a documentation file of all your dependencies, load that into a Claude project, and query it as part of your change process going forward. Creator already handles this natively and flags field dependencies before you can remove anything, so hopefully CRM gets there eventually too.
