Implementation of the Week
- Master Project Costing Reports in Zoho Analytics
- In this implementation, we were working with a customer that uses Zoho CRM, Projects, and Books to run their full organization
- The client presented a requirement that they needed to be able to view the total cost of each Project, where cost can be tracked as: time entries, expenses, and journal entries
- Unfortunately, the native reporting inside of Zoho Projects does not take journal entries into account when calculating the cost (even if those journal entries are associated to the Project)
- To solve for this, we used Zoho Analytics to create a master Project Costs table combining all relevant data sources
- Then, we used that data table to create comprehensive Project costing dashboards for various roles
