The CRM Zen Show Episode 266 – GOYOZUG

Zoho News

Implementation of the Week

  • Zoho CRM Account-level Email Opt-out
    • In this implementation, we were working with a client who primarily uses Account-based Prospecting
    • With this approach, they identify good-fit Accounts for their services, populate Contact lists at those Accounts, and begin their outreach flows
    • This outreach flow is a blend of manual and automated communications
    • Occasionally, they may determine that an Account is NOT actually a good fit after making Contact, and they want to stop all outreach to the prospects at that Account (including automated workflows)
    • To accomplish this, we added an “Account Email Opt Out” field to the Account page
    • When checked, it will opt-out all child Contacts + Leads (custom lookup field) underneath that Account, which forces them out of the outreach process

Code Share of the Week

  • Add Comments to Custom Modules in Inventory/Books
    • Many of us have probably found that even though it’s based on Books, the Inventory API documentation is severely lacking.
    • We recently had a use case to keep a detailed audit log of a custom module in Inventory and discovered that the Comments API (like the one for Credit Notes) also works for custom modules.
    • Here’s how to add comments to a custom module record in Inventory through Deluge (or the API).
