Implementation of the Week
- Zoho CRM Account Level Activity Status Automation
- In this implementation, our goal was to recreate the Open Activities tag available in CRM Leads, Contacts, and Deals list views in CRM
- This tag is color coded, and provides an easy way to see if a given record has an Open Activity related at a glance
- Unfortunately, this Open Activity Tag doesn’t exist for Account-level list views
- To solve for this, we added an Activity Status color coded picklist field with options identifying Accounts with and without Open Activities
- Then, we set up a triggered workflow/function each time Activities are created or completed, to check related Activities to that Account and update the new Activity Status accordingly

- How to Display Workdrive Images via URL in HTML
- When creating a document, it’s best to keep the size of the document as small as you can to improve deliverability. Images can quickly balloon your document’s overall size if they are directly embedded, so it’s better to store the images on a dedicated storage server like Workdrive and link them to the document via a URL.
- Workdrive offers a lot of different links for your files, each with their unique use cases such as sharing, embedding, and downloading. In this instance, we want to use the download link, and add an extra ‘directDownload=true’ parameter so that it can be displayed on any HTML page.
