Zoho Catalyst 3.0 Introduces Agent-Ready Full-Stack Cloud
Catalyst has always been a build-it-from-the-ground-up kind of platform, and 3.0 leans hard into MCP support plus a set of agent skills, so Claude, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini can spin up projects, functions, and API gateways without doing as much guessing. We reach for Catalyst when volume gets heavy or the front-end needs to be truly custom, like a Creator app that scans 100 packages off a UPS truck and hands the processing off in the background, so anything that shortens the build time is welcome. Worth a look at the press release coverage too, since this one made the rounds.
Zoho CRM: Workflow Rules for Subform Row Actions
Ten-plus years of asking, finally answered: workflow rules can now trigger directly off subform row actions like added, modified, or deleted, with conditions at both the row level and the parent record level. The client script workaround got us by, but it only ever worked on visible fields and required the user to have edit access, so being able to run this in the background is a real upgrade. Released across all DCs, and if you are not seeing it, a quick note to Zoho support should sort it.
Zoho CRM: New SKILL.md and AI-Optimized OAS Repository
All the rules for the CRM REST APIs, Deluge, COQL, connections, and client scripts are now bundled into a SKILL.md your AI agent can read, and the OAS repository is moving from JSON to YAML so agents burn fewer tokens finding the right endpoint. Anyone who has watched a coding agent confidently invent an endpoint that has never existed will appreciate what this cuts out.
Zoho CRM: Functions in Review Process Actions
Review processes could already handle email alerts and field updates, and now they can fire custom functions on submit, review, reject, or resubmit. That means you can hold off on generating a sales order, invoice, or shipping package in Books until a human has actually signed off, instead of unwinding a chain of finance records after the fact.
Zoho Desk: Conditional Branching with Automation Studio
Desk’s Automation Studio adds a flowchart-style builder with conditional branching, which beats naming a dozen workflow rules in the order you hope they fire and then trying to remember which field update kicks off which rule. It flows top to bottom rather than shooting sideways like the decision block in Zoho Flow, and we would love to see this same builder show up in Projects and the finance apps.
Zoho People: Zoho MCP Integration
Another week, another MCP server, this one for Zoho People. Read actions like pulling employee details, leave requests, and attendance summaries are great, but HR is absolutely the place to be careful with write permissions, so build a skill or project instruction that blocks write actions unless you explicitly ask for them.
Zoho ERP: August 2026 Product Updates
Still India only, with a US release somewhere between the end of this year and later into next, but August’s roundup is worth tracking: account registers, a cheaper retail staff persona, hosted payment page sharing, receives for transfer orders, and delivery runs inside beat management. That last one covers businesses running their own delivery drivers on set routes, complete with a companion driver app, and it is a gap the Zoho ecosystem does not fill well out of the box today.
Zoho Recruit: Pre-Offer Negotiation
Pre-offers get their own module in Recruit, giving you a formal place to hash out start date and compensation with a candidate before the real offer goes out, with a sidebar showing the back and forth and buttons for the candidate to request revisions or accept. Especially useful for recruiting firms sitting between a client and a candidate, though the open question is whether pre-offers eat into that monthly offer generation limit.
Zoho Webinar: Workflow Automations
Workflows and webhooks land in Zoho Webinar, firing off registrations, poll responses during a live session, and finished recordings. Registration is the obvious one, but if you are hosting solo, routing live poll responses somewhere that summarizes them for you is a clever use of the engagement trigger.
Zoho CRM: Community Digest Aug ’26 (Part 2)
August’s second half wrapped with a redesigned Functions workspace (Python 3.12 included), a new Incentives app that handles sales commissions natively inside CRM, four dashboard improvements, and a pair of Kaizens on arrival readiness dashboards and product-specific pipelines.

Hitting the 10 GB ceiling used to mean you could not create or rebuild a Full Data sandbox at all, and now you can buy another 30 GB from the Storage page or straight from the alert that pops up mid-creation.

Describe the dataset you want in plain language, seasonal dips and holiday spikes and all, and Analytics generates 500 realistic rows for you with no account, signup, or credit card.
Zoho Desk: Email Deduplication for Department Addresses
When a customer emails two addresses that belong to the same department, Desk will now open one ticket instead of two, switching on across all DCs and editions by the first week of September.

Flip on Auto Transcribe and every Zoho Meeting session you record lands in Notebook within the hour as a structured, searchable transcript, shaped by whichever template you set as your default.
Zoho Backstage: WhatsApp Enhancements
Event organizers pick up WhatsApp delivery reports, scheduled notifications for before, during, and after the event, auto-recharge on IM credits, and a pile of new triggers covering purchasers, speakers, and sponsors.
Zoho Sprints: Zoho DAP Integration for User Onboarding
In-product walkthroughs, interactive videos, banners, and a unified help hub can now be dropped right inside Sprints through the Zoho DAP integration, handy when your team is still learning the tool.
Zoho SalesIQ: OpenAI Responses API Migration
OpenAI shut down the Assistants API on August 26, and the good news is there is nothing for you to do, because SalesIQ already moved the integration over to the Responses API with your existing Assistants, conversations, and files intact.

One of the most requested Show features finally landed on Android, exporting a deck straight to MP4 at up to 4K and 60 FPS with animations, transitions, and background audio all preserved.

Worth putting on the calendar: new apps launch on the Next Gen UI starting October 25, 2026, it goes mandatory for everyone on December 25, grace periods are by request only, and Tab Groups gets deprecated along the way.
Zoho Lens: August 2026 Feature Updates
Mobile browser sessions get a revamped toolbar with OCR, a barcode scanner, and a flashlight, iOS adds self-service portal access, and Zia Answer Bot can now be queried mid-session on both platforms.
