What is Zoho Assist?
Zoho Assist is Zoho’s remote support and unattended access tool designed to help IT teams, customer support reps, and MSPs troubleshoot issues from anywhere in the world. Whether you’re connecting to a customer’s computer, accessing a server after hours, or offering live help during business hours, Assist offers reliable connectivity through a secure, browser-based platform.
Compared to legacy remote desktop tools like TeamViewer or LogMeIn, Zoho Assist shines with its affordability and direct Zoho integration—especially for companies already using Zoho Desk or CRM. But where it falls short is in polish. There’s no built-in voice chat, session scheduling is clunky, and users frequently battle over control if the hand-off isn’t clear. That said, for basic screen sharing and unattended access, it does the job.
Why we rate it "Maybe"
We give Zoho Assist a Maybe rating because while it checks the box for core remote support functionality, it’s not quite a complete solution—especially when used in high-volume or client-facing environments.
The software excels at quick, on-the-fly support, particularly if you’re already deep into the Zoho suite. Its browser-based entry, session history, and security settings are strong. However, limitations like no built-in voice/chat, no support for resizing the shared screen, and the awkward dual-control experience hold it back.
