Implementation of the Week

• Net Sales (Invoices – Credit Notes) Reporting via Zoho Books and Zoho Analytics

• • When refunds/returns need to be processed in Books, a Credit Note is created against the Invoice for that sale
  • This effectively reduces the real Net Sales from that invoice
  • However, in Analytics, these two records (Invoice and Credit Note) are stored in two different tables
  • This means that a simple report cannot contain data from both tables, which would be required for calculating a true Net Sales value
  • Using Analytics SQL Query tables, we are able to consolidate Invoice/Invoice Items and Credit Note/Credit Note Items into one table with a consolidated Date and Amount column for easy reporting on charts and pivot tables
