8 HubSpot Alternatives

Compared on published U.S. CRM seat pricing, required onboarding, marketing-contact billing, and the cost of rebuilding what HubSpot currently does for you.

Updated October 2026 · 11 min read · Zenatta Consulting, Zoho Premium Partner

The Short Answer

Start with two different questions: are you replacing HubSpot Sales Hub, or are you replacing the wider sales and marketing platform? The shortlist changes dramatically depending on the answer.

For sales teams looking to lower a Professional-tier CRM bill, Zoho CRM deserves a close look. For straightforward pipeline management, consider Pipedrive. Freshsales is another economical full-CRM option. For work and delivery handoffs, compare monday CRM and Insightly. If you need enterprise-scale governance, look at Salesforce; for a flexible data-first CRM, Attio is worth testing.

If HubSpot's marketing automation actually generates the pipeline, take more care. ActiveCampaign is relevant, but its marketing-contact charges and CRM options need their own quote. Replacing a connected sales-and-marketing system with several separately integrated apps can cost more than the CRM licensing you save.

Why Teams Actually Leave HubSpot

  • The Starter-to-Professional step. Sales Hub Starter provides limited automation, including up to 50 restricted sales workflows. Professional adds substantially broader workflows, sequences, forecasting, and advanced reporting. Its published U.S. rate is $90 per paid sales seat per month on an annual commitment, plus required one-time Professional onboarding of $1,500. Starter has a regular $20 per-seat price, with eligible introductory promotions that may be lower.
  • Marketing-contact tiers. Marketing Hub can grow more expensive as the number of marketing contacts increases. Unlike those marketing contacts, contacts marked non-marketing do not count toward the marketing-contact tier. Audit marketing status and tier thresholds instead of assuming every CRM record is billable.
  • Multiple seat types. Core seats, Sales Hub seats, Service Hub seats, and eligible free view-only seats have different access and billing rules. Model what each employee actually needs before converting headcount into licensing cost.
  • Onboarding and adjacent products. HubSpot's public Sales Hub page lists one-time required onboarding of $1,500 for Professional and $3,500 for Enterprise. Do not assume these charges recur automatically each time you upgrade; confirm any new service requirement and contract terms. Marketing Hub, other hubs, AI usage and external implementation are separate cost considerations.

How we compared these. Public U.S. list rates checked October 21, 2026. Most competitor per-seat amounts below are monthly equivalents billed annually; they are not month-to-month prices. The 10-seat table is a licensing illustration, not a feature-for-feature quote. Implementation, integration, marketing contacts, telephony, usage credits, taxes and negotiated discounts may change actual costs. Zenatta is a Zoho Premium Partner and implements Zoho CRM, which is relevant context for our recommendations.

The Eight Alternatives

Best for sales-led teams evaluating Professional costs

Zoho CRM

Free (3 users) / $14 / $23 / $40 / $52 per user/mo, annual billing

Zoho CRM is the most direct comparison when the issue is the cost of a configured sales CRM. Standard includes basic workflow automation at $14 per user per month billed annually, while Professional adds Blueprint process controls at $23. Enterprise at $40 provides a deeper customization and governance option. Those capabilities are not interchangeable one-for-one with HubSpot's workflow engine or Marketing Hub.

Where it wins

  • Published sales CRM prices substantially below HubSpot Sales Hub Professional
  • Workflow automation from Standard; Blueprint process enforcement from Professional
  • Native integrations with Zoho's accounting, support, inventory and marketing applications
  • No standard mandatory vendor onboarding fee listed for CRM licenses

Where it falls short

  • Replacing HubSpot's marketing workflows may require Zoho Campaigns, Marketing Automation, or other apps
  • More complex deployments require setup, integration and ongoing administration
  • Lower tiers do not include every Enterprise-level automation or governance feature
  • Accountant, agency, and contractor familiarity varies by market
Best for focused sales pipeline execution

Pipedrive

Lite $14 / Growth $39 / Premium $59 / Ultimate $79 per seat/mo, annual billing

Pipedrive suits teams that rely on prospecting, deal management, activities and follow-up rather than a large all-in-one marketing suite. Automation and email nurturing expand at Growth. Its Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate packaging was introduced in 2025, not 2026.

Where it wins

  • Sales-focused workflows and configurable pipelines
  • Clear per-seat pricing with a relatively inexpensive Lite entry point
  • Premium and Ultimate include LeadBooster, Projects and Smart Docs

Where it falls short

  • Automation starts above Lite, and advanced usage can require extra credits
  • Campaigns and Web Visitors remain separately priced
  • Marketing operations and service capabilities are less comprehensive than a full HubSpot deployment
  • No permanent free CRM plan
Best for complex enterprise requirements

Salesforce

Free Suite $0 / Starter $25 / Pro $100 / Core $195 / Advanced $395 / Max $550

Salesforce is worth evaluating when your requirements center on extensive customization, advanced security, industry tooling or governance, rather than cutting costs at all costs. Salesforce's current U.S. sales lineup now uses Core at $195 rather than the older $175 Enterprise price frequently quoted in comparisons. Advanced is $395 and Max is $550, per user per month on their published terms.

Where it wins

  • Deep enterprise customization, permissions and ecosystem
  • Broad availability of certified partners and administrators
  • Multiple entry products, including a Free Suite

Where it falls short

  • Core costs $23,400 per year for 10 users before implementation
  • Administration, integrations and premium services can be substantial
  • Lower-priced Suites are not feature-equivalent to Core or Advanced
  • Implementation scope and renewal terms require a contract-level review
Best lower-cost general-purpose CRM

Freshsales

Free (up to 3 users) / Growth $9 / Pro $39 / Enterprise $59 per user/mo

Freshsales combines CRM pipelines with email, built-in calling capabilities and sales automation. At the published annual rates, Growth is $9 per user per month, Pro $39, and Enterprise $59. If marketing automation is part of the replacement, evaluate Freshsales Suite separately rather than assuming the sales-only CRM price covers it.

Where it wins

  • Credible low-cost entry point and free plan for small teams
  • Sales-focused email and phone tools in the platform
  • Optional broader Freshworks ecosystem, including Freshdesk

Where it falls short

  • Growth is limited to one sales pipeline
  • Calls, credits, AI and document features may carry additional charges
  • Marketing contact tiers apply if using the broader Suite
  • Advanced customization and governance are tier-dependent
Best for sales and delivery collaboration

monday CRM

Basic $12 / Standard $17 / Pro $28 per seat/mo, annual billing

monday CRM is a dedicated CRM product built on monday's broader work platform. It is especially relevant when your team needs to connect opportunity management to delivery, account ownership and handoffs. Pro is currently listed at $28 per seat per month, not the older $24 rate.

Where it wins

  • Sales pipelines, quotes, automations and operational collaboration in one environment
  • Flexible, low-code process design for straightforward needs
  • Lower published licensing cost than several enterprise-focused alternatives

Where it falls short

  • Minimum three-seat purchase; some larger deployments require a quote
  • Automation, contact and AI usage limits depend on plan
  • Complex governance or multi-product deployments still need thoughtful administration
Best to evaluate when marketing automation is central

ActiveCampaign

Contact-based marketing pricing; sales CRM features and seats require a tailored quote

If you rely heavily on behavioral email, segmentation and journeys, ActiveCampaign may deserve a trial alongside HubSpot. But compare a complete marketing-and-sales stack, not its entry email-marketing price against a full Sales Hub subscription. Its Enhanced CRM, pipeline and sales engagement capabilities are plan- or add-on-dependent.

Where it wins

  • Marketing journeys, segmentation and email campaign depth
  • Useful choice when lifecycle marketing matters more than enterprise sales governance
  • Available CRM-related functionality for eligible plans

Where it falls short

  • Marketing-contact volume, email allowances and seat counts influence the bill
  • Full sales CRM capabilities may require Enhanced CRM and related options
  • Not directly comparable through a single public per-sales-seat figure
  • Sales process and reporting needs require hands-on testing
Best modern, flexible data-first CRM

Attio

Free (up to 3 seats) / Plus $35 / Pro $79 per seat/mo, annual billing

Attio offers a flexible record model and API-friendly workflows that appeal to technical go-to-market teams. Its current official U.S. pricing page lists Plus at $35 and Pro at $79 per seat per month when billed annually. Older $29 and $69 figures should not be used. Plus is limited to 10 seats; Pro has a broader feature set and can support larger teams.

Where it wins

  • Flexible custom data model and modern record views
  • API, integrations and automation for teams that value adaptable workflows
  • Useful free tier for up to three seats

Where it falls short

  • Pro costs $9,480 annually for ten users at current published rates
  • Plus has a 10-seat maximum, and automation/usage credits vary by tier
  • Less built-in post-sale and marketing coverage than a broad customer platform
Best for service businesses with project handoffs

Insightly

Plus $29 / Professional $49 / Enterprise $99 per user/mo, annual billing

Insightly connects CRM opportunities with project management, which can be useful for consultancies and agencies. Its current pricing page lists a 14-day trial, not a permanent free CRM plan. The published annual-billing rates are $29, $49 and $99 per user per month.

Where it wins

  • Deal-to-project workflows without replacing the CRM with a generic task tool
  • Built for consulting, agency and other project-driven sales
  • Published Professional price below HubSpot Sales Hub Professional

Where it falls short

  • No publicly advertised permanent free CRM tier
  • Marketing, AppConnect and related capabilities can cost extra
  • Higher-tier permissions, automation and AI availability vary by edition

What a 10-Seat Team Pays in Year One

These are examples of annualized public subscription charges for ten paid sales users. Each row uses a representative plan, not a feature-equivalent configuration. HubSpot's published $1,500 Professional onboarding charge is included; third-party implementation costs are excluded from every row.

Platform & tierPer seat/moRequired published onboardingYear one, 10 seats
HubSpot Sales Hub Professional (benchmark)$90$1,500$12,300
Salesforce Core$195Quote for services$23,400 + implementation, if any
Insightly Professional$49Not listed for CRM license$5,880
Pipedrive Premium$59Not listed for license$7,080
Freshsales Enterprise$59Not listed for license$7,080
Attio Pro$79Not listed for license$9,480
Zoho CRM Enterprise$40Not listed for license$4,800
monday CRM Pro$28Not listed for license$3,360

U.S. public list rates checked October 21, 2026. Most annual-billing rates represent prepaid 12-month commitments. HubSpot's Professional rate also requires an annual commitment. The table excludes sales tax, optional onboarding and implementation, add-ons, AI credits, contact-based marketing, services and discounts. ActiveCampaign is omitted because a comparable 10-seat CRM-and-marketing setup requires contact and add-on inputs.

Read the table as a screening tool, not a savings guarantee. For 10 users, Zoho CRM Enterprise lists at $4,800 annually versus HubSpot Sales Hub Professional at $12,300 in year one, an illustrative $7,500 difference before migration and ecosystem costs. monday CRM Pro lists for less. Those lower fees do not establish identical capabilities; the platform that fits your workflows is the economically relevant comparison. Run your numbers.

How to Actually Choose

Start from why you are leaving

  • Sales Hub Professional costs → evaluate Zoho CRM Enterprise and other lower-cost tiers
  • Primarily pipeline management → Pipedrive or Freshsales
  • Complex enterprise security and governance → Salesforce
  • Sales-to-delivery handoffs → monday CRM or Insightly
  • Modern, flexible CRM data model → Attio
  • Marketing automation drives pipeline → ActiveCampaign or optimize HubSpot first

Pressure-test the total cost

  • Check actual paid sales, core, service and view-only seat counts
  • Confirm mandatory onboarding, contract term and annual versus monthly billing
  • Audit marketing-contact status and projected contact tiers
  • Map sequences, workflows, reporting and required integrations by plan
  • Include migration, training, administration, marketing applications and renewals in a three-year model

What Leaving HubSpot Actually Involves

Zenatta's team has worked on HubSpot migration projects across different industries. The following are common scoping tasks, but their complexity depends on the specific portal, subscription, customizations and destination CRM.

  • Map leads, contacts, companies and lifecycle stagesHubSpot now has a separate native Leads object on eligible Sales Hub plans. Other portals may rely more heavily on Contacts and Lifecycle Stage. Audit which objects are actually in use, and decide how to map them to the destination system rather than assuming every HubSpot lead is only a Contact.
  • Preserve and validate associationsCapture source record IDs and map contact-company, deal-contact and custom-object relationships. Depending on migration tooling, associations can be recreated during import or in a subsequent linking pass. Test the results; do not assume all relationships invariably break.
  • Rebuild custom schema deliberatelyReview custom objects, properties, dropdown values, unique identifiers, permissions and automations. Some metadata can be exported or transformed, but destination-specific behavior still needs configuration and testing.
  • Scope marketing automation separatelyLists, segmentation, email journeys, lead scoring, forms, attribution and sequences do not become equivalent workflows simply because CRM records were imported. Inventory each automation, decide what to retire, and rebuild and test those still needed.
  • Audit and reduce unnecessary propertiesUse the migration to identify unused fields and legacy processes. Preserve compliance-relevant history while avoiding an automatic one-to-one rebuild of every old property.
  • Reconcile, train and run a cutoverAgree on a cutover date, reconcile record counts and key totals, test integrations, train users, and maintain access to historical data as required. Budget for post-launch monitoring and issue resolution.

Common Questions

What is the best HubSpot alternative?

There is no universal winner. Zoho CRM is worth considering if Sales Hub Professional licensing is the main issue; Pipedrive for focused pipeline management; Salesforce for complex enterprise requirements; and ActiveCampaign if marketing automation is the priority. Account for migration, integration and marketing costs before choosing.

Why do companies leave HubSpot?

A common concern is the step from Sales Hub Starter to Professional: Starter has limited automation, while Professional adds more advanced workflows, sequences, forecasting and reporting. Professional lists at $90 per sales seat per month with annual commitment and requires $1,500 one-time onboarding. Marketing Hub separately charges based on marketing contacts, not every CRM contact.

Is there a cheaper CRM than HubSpot with the same features?

Zoho CRM, Freshsales, Pipedrive and others offer lower-cost sales CRM plans, but none should be assumed feature-equivalent to HubSpot Sales Hub Professional plus Marketing Hub. Compare specific automation, reporting, seats, marketing, integrations and onboarding requirements.

Does HubSpot charge for every contact?

No. Marketing Hub contact tiers are based on contacts designated as marketing contacts. Non-marketing contacts do not count toward marketing-contact billing, although contact status, tier changes and other contract rules need management.

Can HubSpot Leads and associations be migrated?

Yes, with planning. HubSpot has a native Leads object on eligible Sales Hub plans, as well as contacts, companies, deals and custom objects. A migration should inventory those objects, preserve record IDs and associations, and test the relationships recreated in the destination CRM.
