Implementation of the Week
- Custom Button in Zoho CRM to Invite Contact to Zoom Meeting
- In this implementation, our goal was to create a workflow that enabled our client to easily create a Zoom link and send it to their client during a phone call
- The use case for this is that there are times when, in order to help the inbound caller, our client needs to see video or a screenshare of the issue we’re hoping to solve
- To accomplish this, we first made a connection to Zoom such that we can invoke their Meetings API. This allows us to dynamically create a Meeting room with unique URL via Deluge
- Then, we store that meeting URL back within the CRM record, and send it out via email and/or SMS to the Contact
- Lastly, the button runs an openURL on the link, so that it is automatically launched at the same time it is sent to the customer
